Betsy Steiner Bio
Betsy Steiner
Dressage
The 2011-2012 show season in Wellington, Florida proved to be a great year for Perfect Products with the introduction of Betsy Steiner to the Featured Riders team. Betsy offered to evaluate the effects of GastroEase EQ on her horses and loved the results so much that she continues to recommend it to her clients today. Betsy also takes advantage of Perfect Prep EQ Training Day’s focus support for her horses in training, as it “helps them concentrate better, and therefore progress more quickly in their training.” In 2013 she assisted in the testing and evaluation phase of our immune and allergy support formula, ProtEQtor, finding that the supplement helped clear one of her stallions of summer sores. We are proud to have Betsy Steiner as an actively involved member of our team of Featured Riders.
Besty Steiner began riding as a teenager. Although she began her equestrian career in three day eventing, Betsy eventually committed herself to the sport of dressage. With an unquenchable desire for success, she spent two years under the tutelage of Egon von Neindorff in Germany developing her classic seat. Betsy competed in her first grand prix at the age of 20, and has since brought many horses to the international level. She is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist and continues a very successful career today.
Her career highlights include representing the United States at the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm, Sweden in 1990 aboard Unamimous. She was also a top contender for the WEG in 2002 aboard the famed Rainer, and earned a place at the Developing Horse Championships in 2009 with Findlay’s Titaan. Betsy has provided commentary for videos of the 1995 World Cup, the 1996 Olympic Games and Dressage at Devon in 2001. She has authored numerous articles for top equestrian publications including Practical Horseman and Dressage Today. Her book A Gymnastic Training System Using the Mind, Body, Spirit Approach has sold over 16,000 copies in the U.S. and U.K. Betsy also developed Equilates™, a Pilates based exercise and body awareness program for riders.
