Marisa Metzger Bio

Marisa Metzger started riding Equitation and Hunters with Leslie Steele in Calabasas California at a young age. She competed successfully as a junior, with several top 10 finishes in Medal Finals. At 18, Marisa made the decision to turn professional and has not looked back. She has been fortunate enough to work with professionals such as Sue Lightner and Havens Schatt, and rode with well-known trainers Jim Hagman and Keri Kampsen early in her riding career. With a strong foundation and dedication to the hunter ring, Marisa has garnered championships at many horse shows across the country, including HITS Thermal WCHR week and Aiken. She has ridden young horses to top 3 ribbons in the Pre-Green Hunters at WEF. Her real passion is for the Hunter Derbies with 14 National Derby wins and 1 International Derby win.
