Pre-Event Calming Preparation

You've worked hard for this moment. Make sure your horse is mentally prepared when it counts.

The Calming Timeline below serves as a schedule for prepping your horse's focus prior to show time. Each step offers a choice of formulas to address your horse's specific challenges. The goal of this program is to stop stress before it starts and continue to build support leading up to the moment you enter the ring.

3 DAYS PRIOR TO PERFORMANCE

Prepare for an upcoming change in environment.

Counteract stress before it starts. Perfect Prep EQ™ Calming Pellets begin working before the onset of transportation and environmental stress, so your horse can arrive level-headed and mentally ready for a change in their regular training schedule and the challenging horse show environment.

TIP: For mildly anxious horses, choose Perfect Prep EQ™ Sane & Sound Pellets. For the horse who is a bundle of nerves, choose Perfect Prep EQ™ Gold Pellets.

"I have used Perfect Prep EQ™ Sane & Sound Pellets on a halter mare and it was just amazing. In 3 days she was cool as a cucumber. So easy to use, just add to the feed. I recommend this product because it works, it is that simple, it works." - Juliana

NIGHT BEFORE & MORNING OF PERFORMANCE

Build support that lasts all day.

Build upon your established baseline of pelleted calming support by giving a Long Acting paste the night before and morning of performance. These targeted calming formulas increase support in preparation for a long performance day, maintaining a calm and focused attitude over 18 to 24 hours.

TIP: Choose Perfect Prep EQ™ Gold Calming Paste for horses requiring a strong calming effect. Choose Perfect Prep EQ™ Sane & Sound MAX Calming Paste for complete focus support that addresses gastric distress, pain and overstimulation.

TIP: Pro Chill's small size and easy delivery make it ideal when you want a more focused, more natural horse who maintains his usual response to the rider.

"With our busy show schedule, I was glad to discover Perfect Prep EQ™ Gold Calming Paste. A full syringe the night before we showed, and a half syringe at morning feeding and we had the best trail class we have had in a long time. The horse stayed good all day and my preparation time was almost zero! I don't want to be without it." - Kristin

1½-2 HOURS PRIOR TO PERFORMANCE

As you're tacking up...

Complete your horse's focus prep by administering a Quick Acting Paste 1½-2 hours prior to performance. By giving one of these pastes just before ride time, the full effects of your calming program will culminate right when your horse requires the most support.

TIP: Perfect Prep EQ™ Supreme Calming Paste is approximately 30% stronger than Extreme. For calming support that creates focus while leaving your horse's brilliant movement untouched, use Perfect Prep EQ™ Prime Calming Paste.

NEWEST RELEASE: Perfect Prep EQ™ Pro Focus offers calming power in a targeted 30cc syringe. Pro Focus creates focus within 2 to 3 hours of administration, with long lasting effects up to 8 hours.

"Perfect Prep EQ™ Extreme Calming Paste took the edge off of my super green horse. He's still himself, but focused and calm without being dull or drowsy. In fact, we were at a show and it was windy, so most of the horses were being crazy. Mine rode in our classes like it was a regular day of being schooled at home! I highly recommend it for horses who get stressed easily." - Kelly
