I have an OTTB, who can get quite nervous about going off property. For his first show, I knew we needed a little extra help relax and focus. I immediately ordered Perfect Prep EQ Extreme Paste and gave it to him 30 minutes before warmup. It helped his nervous temperament, which translated into me relaxing and taking a breath as well. Perfect Prep EQ Extreme Paste was a game changer for him and I keep several tubes on hand during show season!
Love the new formula....so much easier to administer. If you are a first time user, you will need to determine how long it takes for your horse to respond to the effects. My mare takes 2 hours so I plan accordingly.
Perfect Prep worked well as a calming agent, it works in the time stated on the label, and gives you the ability to customize the dosage to meet your horses needs.
I bought this for my Fjord who has show anxiety. When given Perfect Prep she was able to stay calm and focus on what her rider was asking of her. She was not spooky or overly quick over fences. She was still herself and had her "pony" moments but overall she was a rockstar and I couldn't have been happier with how the product worked. I was most impressed with the fact that it did not change who she is but simply gave her 12 year old rider the ability to ride her through her anxiety by giving her the focus she needed to do so. I would highly recommend this product and will definitely use it again!!
I bought this for my OTTB and it works. It makes him focus and keeps him level headed but still completely functional. I love it.
Took my gelding to a BIG show. He isn't the nervous type, but got a little worked up in his stall when his buddies left for their classes. Calmed down with this and a flake of hay. I used to use this on my ultra nervous horse (now retired) who would get terrible diarrhea, call, stall walk, spook, bolt, etc. at shows. This would soothe him enough to be rideable and chill the squirts.
Every time I use perfect prep my horse calms down quite a bit.
